**My Love/Hate Relationship**
It's all about you.
You take and take until I think you can't take anymore.
But, then you keep at it.
It never ends.
You never give up.
I let you into my life thinking you were a reprieve,
but then you consume me until I have no strength.
I'm tired.
I've got nothing left in me.
Just when I think I've come up for air,
the voices in my head call out for you.
I get weak,
and just like a blanket over a chilled body,
you cover me and smother me.
It's warm and gripping and all together comforting.
It's all about you and how you make me feel.
It's all about you . . .
and nothing else can even compare to how I feel about being whisked away with you.
I dream about you.
I think about you.
Day and night, I am haunted by your words.
Day and night, I am cursed by your serenity.
It's all about you.
Why must you consume me into another world?
Why must you hurdle me into leaps and bounds?
Why must you take over my life and force me to think outside the box?
It's all you and you are all that I think about.
My love/hate relationship with you consumes me in every possible way.
Reading and writing is who you are.
You are my imagination.
You are my curse.
You are my pride and joy.
Reading and writing is who you are.
I welcome you into my life.
Diversion or not,
like a switchblade knife you cut deep,
but clot when it's hot.
You never cease to amaze me.
Take me away, far away.
Reading and writing is who you are.
Reading and writing is my love/hate relationship.

About myself: My name
is Lisa Sommers, A.K.A. L. Sommers. I wrote “Charlie : Charlie”. I also wrote
the “Caught Off Guard” series (The Fall, The Hidden Truth, Her Salvation, and
Twelve: Emily’s Story). Writing has been
a creative way for me to escape the craziness of my busy life. I have a husband
of eleven years and four children.
Here are a few words about my books:
Charlie : Charlie – Mr. Charlie Grainger, CFO for a San
Diego Biotech company is faced with the challenge of his life. Can Charlie
fight fate when he is faced with his new hire, new CEO, his boss, and sexy, Ms. Charlie Winters?
The Fall - (book 1 in the “Caught Off Guard” series) - Desiree
Parker moves to Manhattan to escape a secret from her past. Not
looking for love, Desiree is suddenly faced with the charming and
unforgettable, Liam Hunter.
The Hidden Truth - (book 2 in the “Caught Off Guard” series) –
Discover the truth behind what Liam and Desiree are hiding from each
other. Can their love survive what they are both
keeping from each other?
Her Salvation - (book 3 in the “Caught Off Guard” series)
– The continuation of Gabriella and James'
life. After spending
two nights with Gabriella, James has found himself chasing the one that has
captured his heart; the unattainable Gabriella Parker.
Twelve: Emily’s Story - (book 4 in the
“Caught Off Guard” series) - Emily has lived life to
the fullest extent. Off-the-cuff, no regrets, no fear and she never looks back,
ever. She's a risk taker; a thrill seeker. After living life with nothing but
no-strings attached relationships, Raul enters her life; turning it all upside
down.
The first three words I would use to describe
myself are: Layed back, committed and strong (not physically).
I am currently working on this project: Book
5 in the “Caught Off Guard” series. This is the continuation of Desiree and
Gabriella’s mother, Ann Parker.
My favorite thing about Book Review Depot /

The Writing Process Blog Hop
The Writing Process Blog Hop
Posted on June 16, 2014 by Lisa Sommers
Hello readers and writers! I am thrilled to be a part of The Writing Process Blog Hop. This is about a series of posts by authors to answer a few questions about our work.
The wonderful and amazing author Japla Williby so kindly included me in her list of authors to talk about. Jalpa is the author of the Chaysing Trilogy. It's an amazing 5 star read straight from the very beginning that will leave you wanting more. Check out her website at http://jalpawilliby.com/.
As part of the Writing Process Blog Hop here are a few questions I will answer.
What am I working on?
I am currently working on a novel called, "Hiding in Plain Sight". It's about a young woman who comes to a point in her relationship with business tycoon, Richard Connors, where she takes hiding to a whole new level. Skye knows that running will only lead to Richard finding her. So, Skye fakes an attempted suicide to escape the retched hands of Richard by admitting herself into a mental hospital to stay protected until she feels safe to return to the world outside. But, is she really safe?
I am hoping for Hiding in Plain Sight to be release late Fall 2014.
How does my work differ from others of its genre?
Well, I guess I try to adapt a bit of real life situations mixed in with a bit of action and suspense. My first series, Caught Off Guard, is about the lives of 6 individuals who feel like they don't deserve love due to various reasons and/or circumstances. However, after you peel away the outer layers you discover what really lies beneath. My characters portray real feelings and friendships that others can relate to.
My writing is in the romance/erotica genre. The female characters in my stories end up turning into strong women. I don't mean physically, although in some cases that is the scenario. I mean, the women are strong-willed and can adapt to what life throws at them. In the romance/erotica genre there are plenty of books that portray the male to be the dominant main character. However, I feel that in this day-in-age women have come a long way in not just the workforce but sexually as well.
Why do I write what I do?
I write what I do for many reasons. One being, it’s an escape from daily reality. Everyone has their own lives and we all have so many things that go on that affects the lives of everyone around them. An escape from reality is sometimes the best medicine. Getting lost in the middle of a fictional conspiracy or fantasy can create a sense of peace. In my case, it did just that.
Another reason why I write what I do is because it makes people think outside of the box. Some people may think that talking about sex is taboo however, now-a-days, women are embracing who they are. Although, I may write in the erotic arena, the scenes are not convoluted with explicit toys and gadgets. LOL. It's more light and daring at the most.
How does my writing process work?
I can't live without my iPad. It goes everywhere I go. When an idea strikes, I log it down. I usually have a pretty good idea of who my characters are and what they'll achieve in the end but sometimes they take on a mind of their own in the middle of writing. It’s fun to see the change but it can also drive me crazy at times. Yes, the crazy little voice inside my head talks sometimes. I guess it's why I enjoy writing so much. I am also apart of a group of authors that help myself and others strive throughout our process of becoming better writers.
Here are the next 3 amazing authors I chose to include in the blog hop.

My Twitter bio says it all, “Writer, Landscape Architect, Curious, Humorous,
Pensive, Mother, Wife, Friend, Walker of the Earth, Singer, Dancer, Lover of
Life!”
I’m really curious. I would love to time travel and watch the world unfold
and meet those yet to come. I wonder about the first person to try eating
oysters, when real life will be like the Jetson’s, or if anything really
replace a good book.
Stories. Biographies. Fiction. Fact. The world is an amazing place, full of
intriguing inhabitants. I am fortunate to walk with my feet firmly on the
ground and my head in the clouds. I am a dreamer. www.celiakennedy.weebly.com

Kat Miller
Kat Miller was born in
Italy in 1987, to a British father and an Italian mother. She subsequently lived
in the UK and in Belgium.
Kat
continues to cultivate her various interests (which include sports, art and
music) and has just published her first ever book, "Delicious Meals For
1.22 Euros", which is for sale on Amazon and is intended to be the first
of a series of cookery books. The reason why Kat's culinary knowledge is so
vast is that she has always enjoyed cooking and has worked in the kitchens of
various restaurants and pubs. https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/7151767.Kat_Miller/blog
Sensationalist spin? No - Demelza tends to take a camera with her so she can capture and share the moment later; shipwrecks, sharks and all.
Demelza now lives in Perth, Western Australia, the shark attack capital of the world.
The Ocean's Gift series was her first foray into fiction, followed by the Nightmares trilogy. She swears the Mel Goes to Hell series ambushed her on a crowded train and wouldn't leave her alone. www.demelzacarlton.com

My first blog!
Having been an avid reader for years I slowly began writing my own novels/novellas. Never intending for another soul to read my work, besides myself. One day I thought to myself, what the hell? What have I got to lose to self-publish my own work? I've been through enough in life to know, life is short. You have to take chances; live a little. Forget about yesterday and think about tomorrow. So, I self-published my first book, "The Fall", which ended up being a series of four books total in the "Caught Off Guard" series. I have since then published another book called, "Charlie : Charlie".
I never realized how much I would enjoy writing as much as I do reading. Having searched around FaceBook for other Indie Authors, I discovered a group that goes by, "Authors' Cave Group". I have found a whole group of fabulous writers and have also become friends with quite a few of the members. I feel lucky to have found this wonderful group of people that help me and others strive throughout our process of becoming better writers. I just hope that I can do them justice as well.
Remember, we all have our own stories, our own lives and we can all build off each other to become better people. Here's to a great future to all!
